Getting Started

Save your first article

Add articles by URL from the web app, or with one click from the extension.

New saves land in your Inbox, the default home for anything you have not sorted yet. There are two ways to save.

From the web app

  1. Click the + at the top of the sidebar to open Save a link. You can also press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and choose Add link.
  2. Paste the link. ReadHiiv shows you the page — its title, site, and reading time — before anything is saved.
  3. Choose Save to Inbox, or Save to Read Later if you already know you want it.

If the site publishes a feed, the dialog offers to follow the site instead, so its future posts arrive in Feeds.

From the browser extension

With the Chrome extension installed, click the ReadHiiv icon on any page to save it. Choose where it goes (Inbox, Later, or Archive) and add tags right from the popup. You can also right-click a page or a link and choose Save to ReadHiiv.

What happens after saving

Saved articles keep their original URL, so you can always open the source. Open any saved article in ReadHiiv to read it in the clean, distraction-free reader view.

Free accounts can save up to 10 articles per day and 100 per month. Pro removes these limits.
