Read newsletters in ReadHiiv
Sign up with your ReadHiiv address — no forwarding rules to set up.
Every ReadHiiv account has its own reading address. Use it wherever you would normally enter your own email to subscribe to a newsletter, and the issues arrive in your ReadHiiv Inbox as articles instead of in your mailbox.
Subscribing to a newsletter
- Open Newsletters in the sidebar and copy your reading address. On a signup page, the extension can fill it in for you: open its Account tab and choose Fill on this page.
- Paste it into the newsletter signup form and submit as usual.
- Most newsletters send a confirmation email. It appears on the Newsletters page under Subscriptions, and the sidebar counts anything waiting.
- Press Confirm. ReadHiiv follows the confirmation link for you, and issues start arriving in your Inbox.
Confirmations
Confirmation emails are shown as cards with the sender and the site the confirmation goes to. ReadHiiv never opens the link on its own — you decide. If one fails, the card offers a retry.
Your address stays the same
Your address is created when you sign up and never changes, so every subscription you set up keeps working. It is random rather than memorable because you never need to type it: copy it, and paste.
Held back
Mail from senders you have not subscribed to is held back rather than delivered. Nothing is ever deleted — you can review it any time on the Newsletters page, under Held back.
Managing your newsletters
- See every newsletter you receive, and how many issues each has sent.
- Block a sender to stop its issues arriving, without waiting on their unsubscribe link. Unblock it any time; its next issue is delivered again.
- Welcome emails and sign-in links from a newsletter you already receive are delivered too, so you are never locked out of an account you created.
